Tell us briefly how you got into music.
I got into music when my Dad purchased a guitar for me when I was 13 years of age, I was so excited I joined a rock band after I’d only been playing for a few weeks, luckily a lot of rock songs only have three chords!!
How do you describe the sound in your album, Melt?
Melt is a intimate and reflective album the sounds are warm, acoustic and at times orchestral in nature. My producer Stuart Hunter did a wonderful job in bringing the songs to life. As did Toni Houston who shot and directed the footage that accompanies MELT. Melt is a journey album.
What is the difference betweens fans in Down Under compared to the fans in Asia? Do you see a different level of appreciation?
Fans in Asia are very warm and there is a great spirit and appreciation for music. Down under audiences are also very appreciative and I am touring there in January, the audiences in Australia tend to be very vocal, I think the Aussies are famous for a good humoured heckle!!
What is your favorite single from the album and why?
At the moment my favorite single is MELT – it changes for me last month it was Life Goes. With everything that is happening around me in my life at the moment Melt is my favorite song to sing….being in the moment and keeping it simple are a real focus for me.
If you had a super power, what would it be?
Gosh you are asking the right gal…..I often dream about having a super power. I think I would have to say the gift of prophecy would be my first choice
However, flying would be a pretty nifty power too!!
