A project that was pursied by Mei Lin Hii & Lewis Pragasam to explore the possibilities of mashing up classical Bach music with drums & percussions a while back has spawned a lovely recording. Tonight Mei Lin Hii will perform numbers from the album, and also some new arrangements with Gaurab Chatterjee of Kendraka to give it a fresher than fresh breath of air.
Gaurab Chatterjee
Though he is famous as Gabu, his nick name, the full name of this famous drummer from Kendraka is Gaurab Chatterjee. Gabu is also a background score composer and music director of Kolkata Tollywood Bengali movies including KAGOJER BOU and NECKLACE (2010). Gabu was born in a family with musical tradition, specially Indian Classical Music where his father Gautam Chattopadhyay made the revolution with contemporary music and guitar.
